I'm guessing that your Sim has some kind of sentiment with her husband that gives her a playful moodlet ("Let the Good Times Roll" is one).
If you have Get Together, you can put them in a club together and ban joking. Or you can cheat to remove the sentiment.

- @winegum10 If you play on PC, there are mods which have settings to turn off specific autonomus actions like mischief, funny, mean, etc or there's also mods which disable emotion deaths (both are settings within the MCC mod for example) so I'd suggest looking into those if the problem continues to occur
