It's different to see one or two because it's like that's cool they've found the art of Magic, but all of them? That's excessive. My sim is a spellcaster and has been to the magic realm. Well, I noticed a familiar sim. I believe her name is Claire Berjusen (?) from Windenburg. I thought oh that's neat she found magic (I like when the game progresses) however almost EVERY. SINGLE TOWNIE. WAS COMING. The Delgato family, Eliza Pancakes, Zoe Patel, Curtis Moore, etc. I noticed other people on Twitter mentioning they had the same issue.

Unplayed NPCs not living in Glimmerbrook will no longer appear in Glimmerbrook performing Magic. Fixed in Patch 1.59.73

@TheSpaark Moving this to game info as feedback.

Townies can become spellcasters, if you think it's too many, than this is feedback at this point.

Same, I'm not overly sure if it's an oversight, a bug or a deliberate game design choice, but it is certainly way too many to be normal and becomes very immersion breaking. Especially when the game generates random Spellcasters as it does with vampires.

@TheSpaark, I find the same amount of Townies like Hugo Villareal, and Eliza Pancakes as often as I have in other towns like Sulani from Island Living, and Forgotten Hollow from Vampires. So, while is might seem excessive to you ☹️ , it is at least no more excessive than it is with the other packs. In fact, I'm sure when we visit those other towns like Forgotten Hollow and Sulani, we will see the Realm of Magic Townies show up there constantly as well! 😉😃

Me toos also help that they can reconsider.

I don't think it's too excessive in my own game. I started a new one and there are a few like Mortimer that I don't like seeing there too much, but it's always the same few that are there.

@PugLove888 The problem is that they get permanently tagged as spell casters. It's like if every townie who appeared in Forgotten Hollow became a vampire

The game really should look for sims that are actual spellcasters first and foremost. I'm all for townies being used for things to avoid fewer randomly generated sims, but having so many townies suddenly become a spellcaster is a big problem. And I get the feeling it's not really intended to work this way.
@PugLove888 The other issue is the world beyond the portal is meant to be for spellcasters only. There shouldn't BE any tourists there. And so, as mentioned, they all become spellcasters. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was only one or two but, it's far, far more than just one or two.

@TheSpaark There's actually a mod for that already. Looks like others have noticed it. It'll either use existing ones or create new ones. Just google Zero_RoM_DontTurnNpcIntoSpellcasters

@Grouchybeast, thanks for that info! I did not realize that the game was tagging them all as Spellcasters! So I agree that this is odd. (your Vampire/Forgotten Hollow analogy was great! :eahigh_file🙂
My guess is that Townies show up so the game doesn't have to generate completely new Sims to round out the magical realm, but they should all be tagged as Spellcasters! 🤨 @moxiegraphix , I guess that is why they can all go to the realm... in order to fill it out with more "Spellcasters" even thought they aren't really supposed to be Spellcasters! Kind of like how Bella Goth can show up as a vet in Brindleton Bay, even though she already has another job. 🤒 Instead of generating a new Sim, the game just reuses ones we already have in the game!
