Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a Household. Go to Henford-on-Bagley. Spend some time there. End of the day, check generated townies, you will find new ones where Sims have a name but not a surname.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims have a name but not a surname
What do you expect to see? Sims to have both a Name and a Surname. That of the Household in the Households menu.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Introduced when Cottage Living was released. Not fixed in 1.82.99.

- @lostinmalloc Did you test this without mods installed ? AFAIK this is a mod issue.
- @crinrict Hello. I usually rename my mods to disabledmods when I update. Ill give it another try
- @lostinmalloc make sure to also delete the localthumbcache file
This is normally an issue with mods which edit the name generation (as less CityLivingNames or NewRandomNames these mods need the update from 21 Jul)
