Do you currently use mods or CC in your game?
If so, please try moving your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Once you've done that, test the game.
If it works normally, check for updates to your mods/CC. You can then add them back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
I did all of that and it still would not work. However, I think I might have stumbled onto a major problem between the two. He has absolutely NO ID at all! How do I get an ID for him? He was a alien townie just passing by and she started chatting him up.
I just tried it on the alien child in that family and he has no ID either. Don't aliens have any ID at all?
No answers? I followed all of the advice given me and nothing works. I suppose I can move the family to another world to see if that works. Otherwise, that game is totally and completely broken. I tried having him flirt w/her sister and got the same double negative relationship. Either that sim or my playable sims are broken. As I said, I removed everything from the mods folder although, I didn't take the folder itself out and the game was still broken beyond anything I can do.
To get the ID for any Sim (except special sims with only first name) use this cheat: sims.get_sim_id_by_name First Name Last Name
Ok, I finally got an ID on him. I'm not sure what was going on last night. Now I'm trying to cheat the increase of their relationship and am getting nothing. I'm going to reboot to see what happens.
Now I'm trying to cheat the relationship since the normal way is not working at all. This is what I'm t yping into the cheat bar w/o the brackets or whatever you want to call them (the < >):
modifyrelationship <yoursimFirst> <yoursimLast> <targetsimFirst> <targetsimLast> <(-)amount> <track>So far, it does absolutely nothing. the relationship does not respond. The only relationship they can get normally is friendship and they are friends already.
