Trying to go any households sims are home but they are greyed out and can't play

So, I have no problem getting my game to load and all my saves are there, but my issue is any household that I try to play with all family members are greyed out and the house is empty as if no one is home and I can't see any of them even though they are home...this is so frustrating. I am hoping that others are going through something similar and can tell me which mod is causing this issue??
