I have been unable to delete or rename save files for a while now, with each of them auto saving as "my saved game" and then a number greater than 2 billion. I have old saves that I am still able to rename/copy/delete but these new ones dont even give me the option. Really would be able to rename them so I can remember what save is what, as well as be able to delete the ones I no longer use.
@chelsleaxx Does it help to rename the save files, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves, to include smaller numbers? For example, the first save you create is Slot_00000002.save , but at some point Sims 4 may have started counting from 80000000 instead. So if you changed, say, Slot_80000002.save to Slot_00000125.save , I wonder whether it would help.
You can always put aside the entire saves folder and start fresh. Since saves can be transferred back and forth between folders, you could grab old ones when you wanted them and keep copies as backups.
