Unable to start sims 4

@tianarc  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?  How exactly did you move the user folder to the external?  If you used a guide, please link it.

My computer runs mac. I eventually got it to work I unlinked it changed my hardrive name and linked it back again and the game loaded. But now that I added custom content my game loads really slow and stays on the home screen.. like I can’t get to play the actual game so now I’m not sure what to do from there maybe I have to delete the CC ? I also tried restoring my game and nothing and I used this guide:

@tiana95981  If the game loads fine with no custom content but doesn't load once you add the cc back in, then the issue is one or more of your cc items.  You'll need to test them out to figure out which one(s) to remove.  If you have a lot of content, the 50/50 method can make the process more efficient:
