Unable to use mods
A couple years ago I had to download my game unto a USB drive. The game works fine, but I haven't been able to download any mods since. I've tried making a mods folder in the game files, but even with the resource file none of the mods have actually shown up in the game. I was wondering if this was a issue that could be fixed, or if the problem is the fact that the game is downloaded on a flash drive.
You're installing mods incorrectly. Mods don't go to your game's install folder (doesn't matter if it's installed on a normal drive or USB), but into your documents folder and that's where the game will read files from only.
