True, I should have put an "EVERYTHING!!" option (because that's totally me...I have sooo many mods). - I chose the second choice because of little things that get on my nerves, like constant dancing, being on the computer or phone all the time, etc...but the first choice could apply as well. If you had included an "EVERYTHING" choice, I definitely would have picked that.
- I'm more annoyed by design choices than by bugs, therefore my most used kind of mod is No autonomy mods (Mc Tuner, No asking for advice, No loading screen autonomy, No neighborhood stories phonecalls etc.)
Highly customizeable mods that allow me to change the game rules to my liking are the best for me. For example Language barriers is a cool concept, but without the option to edit secondary languages per region it would conflict with my own lore. So it's not just adding dimension, that's important to me, but even more importantly letting the player decide every little thing. - cyncie2 years agoSeasoned AceI really should have voted other, because it’s actually both gameplay and cc. I don’t have many game breaking bugs and the games little quirks don’t really bother me. I use mods to give me the storytelling and world creation options I want in my game, and I use cc to create unique signature styles for my main sims. It’s all about the characters and the setting for my little bit of digital theater.
- I chose CC, I really enjoy seeing what other people come up with. My own CC is limited to a few stupid shirts here and there, but I get a grin every time I see some random townie walk past wearing my bright yellow duck shirt from Homestar Runner.
- ashleyrosey052 years agoNew ScoutI really enjoy mods that add some dimension to the game for storytelling purposes, especially areas lacking from past game generations. But I use them sparingly because we ALL know things can get buggy ? ... on that note: bug fix mods are also a godsend!!! "don't wash dishes where you angry poop" is still a lifesaver :D If I could vote for all categories, I would have lol
- manicobsessive12 years agoSeasoned AceI use mods to just tweak things here and there (I use MCC and UI cheats mostly), and I use bug fix mods. I don't have anything too major. The only gameplay mod I have is the Simda app.
- To me when I see 'visual mod that makes your game look better' I think of Reshade, but there may be other visual mods that I'm either forgetting or haven't heard of. I can't use Reshade because there isn't a Mac version, but if there was I would love to try it. If visual mods includes things like new world maps then I do use visual mods. I'm a big believer in the other three. I have a large collection of gameplay mods like, MCCC, WonderfulWhims, etc., and several dozen little fixes. I'm a cc hoarder too.?
- simsimsere2 years agoSeasoned AceSince I play vanilla, but have reshade, I guess my answer is visual mod.
