Some teeny weeny but essential mods I have in my game:

No Cold Clothing Inside by Scarlet (now maintained by
blewis50): Sims will automatically change from cold clothing into their everyday clothes as soon as they step inside any building.

No Sad Holiday Moodlet by
Sigma1202: Sims will no longer get a sad moodlet if they don't manage to fulfill every single requirement for every single holiday or calendar event that pops up.

No Constant Phone_AutonomousInteractions by
lazarusinashes: Eliminates all autonomous phone use. Sims will only use their phones when you specifically direct them to.

No Temperature Death by
RevyRei: Sims will still freeze or get overheated, but they won't die from it.
