White screen after attempting to create new sims

I’ve been playing the sims 4 for years. Ever since I bought a new MacBook in 2021, I haven’t had any issues. I started downloading CC and mods a couple months ago. I haven’t had any problems until suddenly, every time I go to create a new household, my screen turns completely white and will stay white. I have to force quit. I took the mods folder out, and it worked. Does that mean there’s a problem with one of my mods or cc?
