why can't I play with characters?
Hi I bought the sims 4 today and I’ve never played so I was confused when after making 2 households I couldn’t play with the characters they kind of just sat there so please help me out!!!

Hello! I realize this can be a bit frustrating, especially if you're new to the game, but the questions asked by @puzzlezaddict @CGrant56 and @Coley666 are to help diagnose the problem. Since we can't be there with you, it would be great if you could write out the specific steps you've taken so far. Maybe something like this...
1. I clicked the new game button in the main menu
2. I created a household
3. I moved them into a lot
4. (whatever happened next and so on)
