why cant my sim write her term paper

Hi, I keep trying to have my sim write her term paper and work on her presentation board but there is no option for either. At the beginning at the term, I tried writing one at the beginning of the term and I wrote it but then it disappeared. I don't know what to do because I love playing this sims household but I can't as of right now because my sim only has 2 days left in her term. Any suggestions?

@crazygiraffe202 test on a backup of your save until you find out what's causing the issue. If you found the cause, you can just load the backup with all other mods/cc in.

@crazygiraffe202 The term paper disappeared from your inventory or the presentation board or both ?

Is this with or without mods/cc ?

This is with mods. It disappeared from my inventory and the presentation board is for the right class. I don't know what to do because now it wont let me work on any term paper and when I place the board in my world, it only gives me to option to put it in my inventory. I also tried selling my computer and getting it back. Any advice?

No, not yet. I am afraid that if I turn off mods and turn them back on I will have to go back into cas mode and select all of her outifts and mods again because most of the things my sim wears like hair and clothes are mods and Im afraid it will take up a big chunk of my time. Should I still try anyway?

@crazygiraffe202 Either do a save as in the game or make a copy of your saves folder (found in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

@crinrict Okay, I copied the folder. Now do I just go into the sims and disable mods and then delete the copy folder?

@crazygiraffe202 move your mods folder to the desktop, then delete the localthumbcache file

Then you start the save game and check if the error is still there with no mods at all.
