Why did my sims 4 faces disappeared

Hello, I have downloaded the sims 4 recently. It was working just fine for like a week, but when I turned on the game today all the sims faces were gone. I don't have any mods or cc installed. And it wasn't just the faces that are gone. I can no longer see the animals and toddlers have just a floating faceless head. There are left just 2 of the kits clothes not even the base game clothes. And just 2 of the hair options. Also if I go and try to play with any of the households the sims don't even have a head and legs either it's just a floating torso that's left. Or some of them are just a red cross in the family and you can't even see them in game. I don't understand because yesterday the game was working just fine and I haven't updated it or anything since. Please help.
