Why does one of my chef's keep disappearing

I recently started using the Dine Out pack, I built this really nice restaurant and have four stars on it so far, but the only problem is that I can't hire more than one chef. Once I open the restaurant for business, both chefs show up, but one eventually disappears pretty quickly after they arrive. I thought I could leave the problem alone but it's making it hard to progress with the restaurant. I've tried repairing my game and I'm going to try and see if it's my CC, but I don't believe it is. If anyone could help me figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it!
