Why doesn't cc hair work?

Okay so this is my sim in CAS:

And here's a close up of her cc hair:

But whenever I plress play, her hair ends up like this with any cc hair I use:

Can anyone help me ? I really want to use the cc but it won't show it up properly :sweat:

EDIT: for some reason it wouldn't let me post in the cc/mods area of forums, so I've posted it here

    Try going back to where you downloaded the cc hair from and check to see if you need to also download the original mesh. Some cc require you to have the original mesh also in your game.

    Simsfever23, some of the older hair meshes will not show, (especially the very first ones) search out the most up to date meshes and textures.

    I think it's because I'm on laptop mode, since that is turned on, so I will try turning it off and trying again :blush: thanks!

    Hi @SimsFever23 did you download the sim from the gallery? Sims 4 CC will not transfer from the Gallery, you have to hunt down the original hair.
