Why is my Sims aging quickly?

I tried to play with one of my Sims today. He jumped from Young Adult to Elder. He skipped Adult. I have also played with a few other Sims who were halfway through Young Adult, then aged-up for no re...

    @smithk3629 Did you try to turn off aging in the game options? That's the way I play the game and when I want to age up a sim I do the cake thing. This was caused by an recent update and it seems the devs are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.  Stay tuned.

Thank you. Hopefully they fix it soon. I am trying to do something specific with my Sims, and I need them to age at a normal pace, lol. In the meantime, I will try to turn off aging.

@smithk3629 They said that they fixed that bug. I had the same issue, but now I don't.
