why wont sims 4 stay open

as soon as i open the sims and go to continue my current save file it automatically closes. I have tried the most common suggestions to fix this issue such as taking out all my mods and repairing the game entirely. I have also seen the i should just uninstall then reinstall the app but there is no apparent way to uninstall the app.

I know you said you tried the most common fixes but just encase.
1) Have you updated Windows
2) Have you updated your graphics drivers.
3) Verify and Repair game files.
4) Check to see if your Mods/CC have been updated and are compatible with the current game updates. Or disable your mods and CC.
