why

why is my game not working when i turn on script mods?

since the new update every time i turn on script mods i can make i new household but can't play the household. i have tried everything to fix this. i have updated the 2 script mods i use, then took them out and tried playing the game to see if that was the problem, then deleted and reinstalled the game when that didn't fix it. what else is there to do, i did try repairing it in origin but it didn't do anything maybe bc i downloaded it from steam

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

game keeps on telling me to relaunch it and origin keeps on thinking its not downloaded. how do i fix that

This is likely a problem with Origins cache. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

did everything they told me to do and the stupid game still isn't working right. i don't even have mods in the game and it is still giving me this stupid error

I FOUND A FIX. after you remove your mods folder look into your save folder, there are some mods that puts stuff there in folders. don't delete anything unless you know its from a mod since you could delete your sims
