Re: Can't rotate house or rooms in the sims 4 ps4
@IndieRainbow Hello! For rotating, the house / lot / room must be highlighted first. Please click the spoiler below and try the steps after placing.
Note: The images I've used here are from the PC version, so some will have keystroke commands, like "U" and "Y", that you won't see on PS. I usually take photos of my PS games with my phone and upload here but screengrabs from PC are easier. :-)
For rotating a house:
1. Select the crossbar (Move House) at the top of your screen.
2. In the drop down menu, select Move House.
3. Select the house or whatever building you want to rotate to highlight the house / building.
4. Press the right and left bumpers (R1 / L1 on PS) to rotate the house / building.
Note: If there are any structures or terrain and landscaping elements that conflict with the placement, the house / building may not rotate. You may see an error when this happens.
For rotating lots:
1. Select the crossbar (Move House) at the top of your screen. (Same as step 1 above)
2. In the drop down menu, select Move Lot.
This will highlight the entire lot to look something like this.
3. Once the lot is highlighted, press the right or left bumpers (R1 / L1 on PS) to rotate.
Note: Any items outside the lot boundaries will have a yellow outline and may be deleted (even if you have Move Objects enabled).
For rotating a room:
When placing a room, the room is automatically highlighted but if it isn't, then simply select a wall or floor of the room to highlight it.
Once highlighted like this, then use the right or left bumpers (R1 / L1 on PS) to rotate it.
Please come back and update if these steps work for you or not.
