I am in communication with Sony re getting a refund for the base game and every DLC released for the game under the grounds that the game is now faulty. They don't seem to be grasping that its not a system issue but that the game controls have been changed rendering the game unplayable for everyone on console. I am not holding out much hope but will keep you posted if I have any success whatsoever. At the very least I will have added to the probably pile of similar refund requests they have received.
UPDATE: As expected Sony are telling me to reload all the games back in and rebuild the PS5 database, I have explained its not the system but the game and they have said I still need to complete the troubleshooting before they will discuss anything further. They also stated that they are not aware of any other reports the game is faulty.
