I personally had to start a new game and now I always run a backup as a second identical save file. But that's just me, it was drastic and we all seem to be different. I get error codes when I've downloaded from the gallery or taken photos, so I now avoid both. It's a shame but I personally find it's absolutely necessary. But on a positive note is a known issue so will hopefully be addressed in an upcoming patch in the future.
