@jtblrc26 Are you able to just press the play button there and get into your game?
Are you trying to save over an old save or creating a new save when you save?
Can you save as a new save?
Are you logged in to the correct gamertag and EA account?
Otherwise, Error code 0 also has the following recommendations.
Turn off Your system completely
- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 30-60 seconds. (Set a timer!)Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the console power cable back in.
- Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.
- On Home, select My games & apps.
- Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game & add-ons.
- In the menu on the left side of the screen, scroll down to Saved data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
- You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
- Delete from console removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
- The other option is to delete your entire saves folder for Sims 4, and let the game generate a new save folder when you launch the game. If you have your saves backed up in the cloud, they should resync, but otherwise all your save data will be lost.
- @PoptartJuniper Yes I can launch a new game from the play button.
Create new save because old saves have gone.
Unable to save as a new save.
Correct gamer tag and ea acc.
Tried the first recommendation above and didn’t work.
Just tried the second recommendation and didn’t work. - PoptartJuniper5 years agoHero (Retired)@jtblrc26 Do you have enough space on your hard drive for the game to download properly and save games?
- @PoptartJuniper There is loads of space on hard drive to download games, I only have sims now as deleted the other 2 hoping it would help with saving but hasn’t.

Can you try this:
- Start the game
- Click on the big Play button
- If you’re taken to CAS, create a random Sim and place him into a house
- If you’re taken to the map, place the Sim into a house
- Close the game (it’s not important if you save or not but make sure you don’t overwrite your old saves if you do save)
- Start the game. The buttons should be back
- Click on Load and a list of your all your saves should appear. Load the one you want to play. You can delete the new one.
Here's the threads I found for reference:
- @PoptartJuniper Yaaayyy!!! This worked!!
Thank you so so much for all your help, you are an absolute legend!!!
The load game button is back and I can now save my game, I’m playing Sims again. I’m really happy 😃 - PoptartJuniper5 years agoHero (Retired)@jtblrc26 Wonderful news! I'm glad you are able to play and save again!
