Other players have reported having issues to upload content as well, and The Sims team is already looking into it.

A possible workaround, if you want to try:

  • If it's a lot or room, you can try placing it in the world, making a small edit and saving it to your Library again. Then check if you can upload the item you just saved.
  • If it's a Sim, load them in Create A Sim, and try to save them again to your Library. Then check if you can upload the item you just saved.

Does it happen with items that were uploaded before yesterday as well?

PC/Mac players received an update yesterday that is not available on console yet, so the content they have uploaded to the Gallery since updating yesterday is not downloadable on console yet. You can 'like' that content to save it for a later download.

You should be able to download any content older than January 16th - try to filter by 'Most popular' instead of 'Newest' to find some awesim content 😉

    PC/Mac players received an update yesterday that is not available on console yet, so the content they have uploaded to the Gallery since updating yesterday is not downloadable on console yet. You can 'like' that content to save it for a later download.

    You should be able to download any content older than January 16th - try to filter by 'Most popular' instead of 'Newest' to find some awesim content 😉


    This is absurd! I created a sim for my husband's game on his PC origin account in July. He never saved it to the gallery because he had no reason to as the PS4 doesn't exist on the gallery. This morning I uploaded that sim for myself to finally have on my PS4 and you are telling me that because the PC & PS4 live in parallel universes of update timelines I can't download this content I created until the PS4 gets the same update the PC got this morning!? The PC gets all updates a month before the PS4 at least with no specified release dates, so I don't know when I can download this content & I won't know so I guess I should just check every day? Is that what you are saying? I find this to be unacceptable bad design & frankly offensive. Especially since the content I create today can be downloaded by PC players today. They can have my creations I can't have theirs.

    Tell me again why we couldn't just have a PS4 & XB1 locked gallery before today? Because right now it seems like if I want content the only place I can find it is on the PS4 gallery because we have the same updates.

    The "gurus" said that this gallery update would "finally bring the community together" but literally the first day I try to use any of the gallery it is so broken, not "wonky", but broken it is unusable. My content is no longer owned by me it is owned by a red dash mark. It exists in what used to be my library now in the Others category & if I want to download to my account content I created on my PC I now have to wait an undefined period of time to do so because it's a feature not a bug.

    I can't express enough how fed up I am with having paid over $800 for a game that is constantly broken, bugged or both. This insult is not at all awesim.

    A house uploaded by TheSimSupply on 12-28-19 can't be downloaded to my PS4 because it was created with an update my PS4 doesn't have. This problem isn't just from the update yesterday.

    Also telling people to search for most popular when they perhaps do not want to find "popular" content is not helpful & it is not a work around. I'm frankly confused as to how this got out of the design stage muchless passing any form of QA. Console players not being able to access any content from an update previous to our current version when we will by design never have the PC current version should have been dead on arrival during the design phase. You shouldn't be expecting your end users to personally filter your entire gallery for the content they don't know if they can or cannot use. It is your job to create a filter in your own network so that if the end user does not have the current version of the game they cannot see content that is outside their version. Being that Maxis has a system of parallel releases on seperate timelines for their content to PC & to console this is one of the very first things you should have been testing for, not acting as though you were blindsided by it the day it goes live.

    @Amalathea That's odd cause I was able to download 2 old lots that's been on the gallery for years on my ps4 one was the vampire lot from maxis. So far I'm not having any issues downloading but I can't upload my sims in console to the gallery cause the cloud is missing.

    I have heard about the glitch your talking about though. SimGuruLegacy mentioned it on Twitter. Hoping it gets fixed.
  • @EA_Mai I’m trying to download a lot uploaded on December 2019 and that message still appears. So no, its not because of the latest pc update.

    Thanks for letting me know message is appearing for you even with builds uploaded earlier than January 16th, and thanks for sharing an example of this @Amalathea .

    Would you have more examples of items with which this happens for you so I can forward them to the team for investigation? @Zagalo21 what lot is showing this message for you? 

    Is it also happening with rooms and Sims, or only with lots?
