I got rid of more library items and deleted some of my old save files but it still didn't work. However since you mentioned it sounded like a memory shortage I did think that maybe deleting some of my photos in game would help free up storage which it did and I can now save.

And just to clarify so I can add this specific step to my troubleshooting list- was it in-game photos from your Sim's or household inventory that you've cleared out, or do you mean screenshots that were saved to your console?
They were in game photos that are in my sims houses.
Not sure if this is related but I have since started to replay with my households and decided to delete some more photos. I then saved during gameplay (about 10 in game hours had passed) and I recieved an 'error code 0' notification. Now if I reload any of the two saves I have made today (21st July) my photos are black and I have blank canvas on painting that were painted from reference.
However if I reload my backup save file from 17th July my photos and paintings are fine.
Sorry to bombard you with another problem but I really appreciate your help. Thank you.
