Re: [XB] Error Code 0x8027025a

@cozybunnyxo The XBox support site says that this code can be caused by the following:

  • There's a temporary problem with the Xbox service
  • The application did not load in the time expected
  • There's a sign-in issue with your profile

You can follow the page I linked above, but the recommendation is to shut down your console completely.

  1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds until the console shuts down.

  2. Unplug the power supply from the console. Wait for 3 minutes, then plug the power supply back in to the console.

  3. Press the Xbox button on the wireless controller to turn on both the controller and the console.

Try making sure your XBox is set up as the home device for whatever account has purchased Sims 4 and then try launching the game offline.

@PoptartJuniperThanks. I've noticed this also started happening more often since they implemented this new "sims delivery" thing so I disabled it and it's been okay so far. I was hoping to avoid hard resets, etc wondering if it was a game issue since it only happens with Sims 4. It is my "home" xbox as well, but it also happens on the other xbox I own. It does launch after a few tries but it's hapoening way more often than it used to.

@cozybunnyxo Your post is the only one I have seen so far about this so far. That doesn't mean others haven't seen it, just that it may be a connectivity issue and some reboots of your router and modem and your console may help.

@PoptartJuniperIt seems to have been an issue for many people for quite some time but it's not happening only on the Sims 4, so I'm not sure what is causing this. As stated above, it appears okay once I disabled "sims delivery". Quick note about sims delivery: when it says on the menu that there is new content to be downloaded, I click to accept it then click the restart prompt, and this 100% of the time causes this error (took too long, etc) and I have to reboot again, sometimes a few times, which led me to believe this was a game issue. Although I was getting this error before sims delivery came to be, it's happening more often with it there. I'm not an expert but it might have something to do with the online feature as you mentioned. I have good connectivity but this could be the issue since sims delivery requires online access. We have internet though the main building complex ( not our own router) so even though it's fast and reliable, it may be the issue.

I'm having this issue too, have been for over a month now. I discovered the issue is 100% because of Sims Delivery on my Series X. I reset my console, tried everything under the sun (there is literally nothing recommended anywhere across the internet that worked), then finally just reinstalled sims. Worked perfectly fine UNTIL Delivery downloaded and installed in the background. I tested this a few times and it's the only thing that could be causing the problem since everything is fine before this happens. It sucks, I'd love to have fixes and more content... but I've spent WAY too much on DLC for this many issues ☹️

@hekatoraOh its worse for me now. It happens 100% of the time and rebooting doesn't help either. It does work if I start another game, quit that, then start Sims, it will load up no problem so now everytime I want to play the Sims , I boot up another game first. It's bizarre. Sims 4 is the only game this happens with ( hubby and I play lots of games) and no, it's not the memory space because this happened on my brand new Xbox series S with this being the only game installed at the time. I am suspecting this isn't just a generic xbox issue but some issue with the game and xbox working together.

And quick note: when playing the Sims and it says to restart for new "delivery" it never boots back up. All the time. I have to do the same thing I mentioned earlier. It's so annoying.

Yes! It's the exact same problem for me. Every bit of the issue you're having, no joke. I thought it was just me, I looked everywhere and this was the only place I found someone having the same issue 😅 Phewww.
