🛠️ Opening the Sims 4 cheat console on Mac

There always seems to be some confusion over how to open the cheat console on a Mac because Mac users normally substitute the CMD key for the CTRL key in everyday Mac usage (CMD + C, CMD + V for copy...

i have also changed through system preferences another key to be used as control and the same thing happens - it screenshots instead of bringing up cheat tray

This indicates you have another app overriding the key combinations.

    So how do I fix this/find out what the program is that is interfering please

      By going through your installed apps and changing settings in any that may be interfering, usually 3rd party video or screenshot apps can be the culprit.

        Sorry to ask but I have no idea how to do that - is there somewhere that i can find a bit more of a descriptive way of doing this. I have photoshop, lightroom and premiere pro installed would these be the culprit?
