Accidentally put save file in scratch folder and now its all gone...please help

When cleaning out my Sims 4 folder and reorganizing some things, I moved my save files to the desktop. Once I was all finished I moved it back to the saves folder- which ended up being the scratch folder. When I did this as soon as I exited out of the game it ALL disappeared. I just want to know where does the scratch folder dump those files too? and is there a way a possibility for me to get it back. Your response is greatly appreciated, please and thank you!

Thank you so much for responding to my post! I searched every inch of my computer even through the terminal and could not find any trace of my save file. However, I saw another post in a different website suggesting a program that can recover deleted files. After trying several programs I came across iMyFone AnyRecover and this FINALLY worked! I was able to get not only my save file, but many save files from the past. The interesting thing was that the program lets you search your computer in sections so I started off with the Trash can (assuming that the scratch folder goes to the trash) however after 5 hours that came up empty. In the end I had to do another scan in my hard drive and somewhere on there hidden from me was the file. I just wanted to thank you for your time and pass on this information in case it were helpful to anyone else in the future.

No, they're gone for good. The Scratch folder is a temporary folder created when you launch the game. It is automatically deleted after you close the game, along with the contents within ☹️
