Can I play the sims with no lag on my iMac if I upgrade it?

My iMac is one of the smallest, as the 27" was too much for my parents! I assumed I'd run into this problem with eventually! I will def try out your suggestion, but for the CC for some reason, my FPS & Lag have no change whether or not I have CC or not, it's like my dad's dell computer all over again, it lags no matter what! But, thank you! :-)

Be prepared for it to cost a lot at an Apple store if they upgrade the RAM. The graphics card is the main component that needs an upgrade but that’s just not possible in your iMac ☹️

    My dad has agreed to meet me halfway on the cost when we figure it out, so hopefully, that'll help! :-(
