Cant get sims 4 to work download from origin to external drive

I recently purchased an external drive. I was hoping to put sims 4 on to it because I had to delete iota my Mac due to no space. I downloaded it start from origin to my external drive but I can't open it. I don't even see the sims logo to click on to open it. also when I open origin it tellesme to download the game and not play it.

It just opens up thank you so much. I have one other question how do I put mods in the game that I have downloaded.

Great! Make sure the Mods are fully compatible with the current patch level of the game and follow the creator’s instructions. Most Mods are placed in the Mods folder and must be .package or .ts4script files

I have recently added sims 4 to my external drive but when I opened it to play I got this message.

Is everything showing as completely installed in Origin? This seems related to the previous issues you have had in this thread.

Yes everything is installed but my worlds aren't showing

Have you repaired again? The issue is local to your setup.In Origin, under one of the affected packs, what does it say int he orange button - Install, Details, Play, or something else?
