CAS - shiny skin and weird glitch

I have some CAS issues since the November 2019 patch. All sims in CAS have shadows around the hair and shiny skin, as if a light is shining on them (not the shiny skin with white pattern, please see images attached). Sometimes this affects the whole body, sometimes only parts, depending on clothing. It happens to all ages and skin tones. Additionally sometimes I get weird spiky glitches. I play with custom content but I always take everything out before installing a patch (the screenshots were taken without custom content in the game). I have tried to rapair my game and I have deleted the localthumbcache.package. I hope that someone can help me because I don't know what else to do. Thanks

I have updated to Mojave and it seems to be fixed!

Just wondering what is happening to my cas and if anyone knows how I can go about fixing it? The skin is very shiny and off coloured and you can see it with clothes on as well

@fiddlekay03 Are you using any custom skins in your game ? Any other cc ?

Also are you on PC or Mac ?

This is the glitch I'm getting. Kind of frustrated because I have tried resetting my files.

Your CC most likely needs updating. Check the creator’s site for updates.

I am on Mac and I did have custom skins but I totally removed my mods folder and this was still happening

This is happening to me to! I have tried disabling my mods and still nothing. Now my whole game crashes... ugh

As well as moving out your Mods folder, not just disabling CC and Mods, can you trash the localthumbcache.package file, repair the game then load it up and see if the problem is still there.

Could you all also please state which graphics card your Mac has and which version of macOS you are running?

I have deleted the localthumbcache.package and repaired my game - the problem is still there..
I am running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with an Intel Iris Pro 1536MB.

I have recently run into other problems that require a software update so I will try and see if that solves the issue.

Ah thanks. There is currently a problem running the game in El Capitan and Sierra. Could you update to 10.13.6 High Sierra, that should fix it for you.
