What do you expect to see? After today's update the game crashed. Now it freezes and won't load.

After today's update the game crashed. Now it freezes and won't load. This is the first time this has happened post-update for me. I have a 2020 MacBook Air.

How often does the bug occur? It has happened once, and I have not had time to check it again since. However, I have been experiencing significant game lag recently for the first time ever. It is extremely frustrating as the game can be borderline unplayable.
What is your current game version number? 1.68.154.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every Expansion and Game Pack except Snowy Escape and Journey to Batuu. The Stuff Packs I have are Luxury Party, Moschino Stuff, Nifty Knitting, Spooky Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Tiny Living, Vintage Glamour, Movie Hangout, Romantic Garden.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play until the game crashes - the longest I have been able to play before it crashed was 2 hours or so
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes. I tried to delete an item in Build Mode, and the game just completely crashed without warning.
What do you expect to see? The game not to crash, and for lag not to occur.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them and the problems still occur.
