What you're describing is a little different to the OP. They state they have to hard restart their Mac, not just Force Quit the game (I think).
When did you have to start Force Quitting the game, which OS were you running? It is a known issue with Intel Macs running Ventura.
Can you provide full specs - click on the Apple in the menu bar then About this Mac and provide all the info but not the serial number.

@BluebellfloraOh yeah you’re right. I didn’t notice the part where they said they had to force quit their entire computer. The force quitting issue started yesterday or the day before I think. I just started playing sims on Mac three days ago and didn’t make the connection with the new Apple update.
I do have an intel Mac and updated to Ventura a day or two ago. Maybe that is what it is. Idk it was an issue with Macs with Ventura installed. Thanks for letting me know. I hope there’s a fix soon. If you still want it here are my specs:
2GHz Quad core Intel core i5
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
16 GB Memory
Ventura 13.0.1

Thanks for clarifying 🙂 I’ve merged your posts into the main thread for the Ventura/Force Quit issue. Keep an eye on it for any hopeful updates.
