Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162
Could you also please run the Origin reset tool and see if that helps - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
I tried the origin reset tool and it did nothing. I have a version. 10.14.3, MacBook Air (13-inch, early 2015) 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 is the processor. I have 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 for my memory. I have Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB. I play the normal version of the game. I am not running an antivirus anymore. I have tried repair game but it hasn't done anything. I used to use CC and Mods but I deleted them ages ago.

Update your OS to 10.14.6 and see if that helps. You can do so through System Preferences.- 5 years ago
My computer won't let me update to Catalina

You don't need to update to Catalina, just update Mojave to the last updated version which is 10.14.6.
