1. Clicking two triangles switches the game to fullscreen. Glitches return. Need to go to menu, to change back to window mode.
2. In window mode can freely shrink-expand the window without glitches. Double-click on title panel, to automatically expand window to maximum size - no glitches.
Google didnt help.
- 6 years ago@Vetaforever That's a big help. Thanks for the experiments! Looks like running Windowed, but expanded to full screen, is the workaround until the root problem is identified.
It might be helpful if you can go to your "About this Mac" (Apple Menu -> About this Mac) and tell us what your GPU is and the specific version of High Sierra (10.13.?). If you're behind on Apple's High Sierra patches, would you be willing to try updating? Or would you be willing to try bumping to Mojave (10.14) or Catalina (10.15)? I have NO idea if this would help, so I totally understand if the answer is "not until I know it'll make things better."- 6 years ago@dzm06 Thank you for your answer.
High Sierra 10.13.6.
GPU - Intel Iris pro 1536 mb
All updates doing asap. System working very well.
Doesn't really want to bother with moving from Sierra, until there will be more serious issues.
Window mode is fine by now. But if there will be some easy solution for fullscreen - I am interested.
I'll just wait here.

My sims 4 loading screen and home page have been glitching since I updated to Catalina on my mac. The screen flashes and has static, lines run through it, pixel glitch, all of it. I can't even load a game it's so bad. When I open the setting the screen textures overlap. How can I fix this?

Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162
- 6 years agoMacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), processor 2.2 GHz quad-core intel core i7, memory 16 Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3, graphics intel iris pro 1536 MB. I'm running BitDefender, I did a system scan and no viruses were flagged. I have tried to repair the game. I do run cc but I uninstalled all my cc and repaired the game and it's still doing the glitching.
