I'm also experiencing the screen glitches, but my game is also extremely laggy - the movements of the Sims (and things like ceiling fans, etc) are very jerky. I've got a pretty old MacBook Pro (mid-2012) but it was running smoothly on higher graphics settings prior to this patch. For reference, I'm running Mojave without any issues. I'll include my Specs in case they're helpful.
This is happening even in a vanilla game with no mods/CC. I lowered my graphics settings to the lowest possible and it took care of the lines across the screen during gameplay, but I do still get them when the Sims first opens. My biggest issue right now is the glitchiness of the Sims' movements, and how difficult it makes it to navigate and move your screen around to see everything. I find myself giving up playing after only a bit of time because it's so annoying. I'm going to do the folder refresh just to cross off all of the possible "fix its" I've seen here, but I did turn off edge smoothing and have repaired the game already. I'll also give it a shot in windowed mode as well to see if that helps and report back.
EDIT: I did the "switch to windowed mode, then back to full screen" thing and it helped slightly with the glitchiness I was experiencing. However, even in a vanilla game, the Sims' movements are still kind of jerky, and I can't always get my cursor to click on what I want it to click on. I'm going to keep playing around with things to see if I can get it figured out further.

Hey! Do you have any cc? It seems like a glitch I've seen many times with certain cc in the game
