Game not working at all (Mac)

I am so mad right now. I have lost everything, my game will not launch on origin and won't launch individually. I have done the following;

-Removed all cc and mods

-updated and repaired games

-cleared all cache

still didn't work, so i have now completely uninstalled Origin and Sims 4 and reinstalled them and i'm still getting the same issue.

Here is the screenshot, i press play and then nothing happens and the play becomes orange again.

I'm playing on Mac, everything fully updated had no issues until last weekend. please can someone help me.

When did this suddenly start happening? Was it after you updated the game, or a Mac update?

Have you attempted to link your EA account with Epic or Steam?

How did you uninstall Origin? Did you move the app to the trash, or run the Origin reset tool then trash the app, or do a manual uninstall of all Origin files?

Suddenly started happening about 2 weeks ago, no updates were done. i completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it worked for 2 days and now im gettign the same issue. i followed other istructions and updated my mac now but still having the same problem. i can click in origin but cant open the game any way.
have not got my ea account linked anywhere
removed all cache and followed instructions via EA chat to reinstall origin. unistalled through clean my mac.

Can you open the game via the base game app in your Applications folder?

What instructions did EA Chat give you? The correct way to fully uninstall Origin is to run the Origin reset tool, trash the Origin app then re-download Origin and install it. If there is still a problem then you should uninstall Origin manually. Clean my Mac is a horrible piece of software that can remove files erroneously and destabilise apps and even the operating system. It is absolutely not needed at all on a Mac. A quick Google will bring up plenty of reasons why you should never use it, as will a search on Apple's excellent discussion pages from very experienced and knowledgable Apple users. It is popular amongst ex-Windows users who seem to think it is necessary (it isn't).

So i went through a lot of forums last night. I can't remember if it was on here or on the search on google, but this has got it working for now
Applications > The Sims 4 > Right Click > Show Package Contents > Contents > MacOS > Delete the sims 4 file
then origin > Repair Game.

It's not a folder, it's an executable file. Follow the instructions on how to access it.

I see nothing referencing the sims in that location at all.... no files folders or programs. Is it called something else? nothing in that location says sims
ok I had TWO applications locations.... the one that had the sims in it was under my users applications....

So I did all that and now the game just keeps downloading.... getting to 99% and starting over. There is no option to repair right now. Probably because the game is not downloaded. It didn't give me a repair option at all I'm guessing because I've cleared my origin cache and reinstalled it etc.....

i had this exact same problem and did what you did but its not working for me, i dont get what the problem is im so confused i spent so long working on my saves
