Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

My game won't launch. When I click on my sims 4 game it pauses for a second then opens the EA app and repeat. If I double click my game it will come up with a warning stating "The Sims 4 is already running". I don't have any mods or cc. It let me launch my game last night around 11 pm and I played for an hour no issues, and that was after the new update. Already cleared my cache. Not sure why it's doing this. I play on my MacBook Air and have never had any problems before.
