Hard drive slow for sims 4

Hi!

i have encountered an issue with my hard drive I have a lot of mods maybe like 30,000+ and I have a 2TB WD elements hard drive that I just bought everything  is working well but the loading time to play is ridiculously slow it takes like 2 hours maybe even 3 just to load the sims 4 and the game itself is laggy and takes forever to make a sim do or go somewhere, is there a solution ? I heard about the SSD but I just bought the hard drive so I wanted to know if it’s fixable or not please 🙂 

Also I’m using a MacBook I don’t know if it’s related to the issue or not.

    I’m constantly chopping and changing drives but have been using a Samsung T7 for the last few months and really like it. Very fast and very small and lightweight 🙂

    If you bought a traditional HDD (Hard Disk Drive) then it will always be slow unfortunately. It is a physical spinning disk at either 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm, equivalent of between 75 and 160 MB/s . Even getting a SSD or Flash drive requires a little research and buying the right one. It should be fast, around 1,000 MB/s read/write speed with a USB-C or Thunderbolt connection.

    You're better off buying a decent SSD ☹️

    So long as you have the right ports, which you do, yes, but you should always check the connections when buying peripherals.

    Hi! I have encountered an issue with my sims 4 opening, I bought an SSD a Crucial BX500 I had a WD  elements HDD but it took forever to open ( 3 hours loading time) and now even the SSD is taking forever to load does anyone know how to fix it ? Any tricks or cheats on how this works I’m new to this whole ssd hdd thing and I have no idea what’s happening.

    for reference I erased my SSD to make it compatible with my Mac ( Mac journal ) 🙂
