Thanks for the reply-
Okay, I'm looking through my finder (MacBook) and I'm seeing 4 Sims4 folders. 3 just say "Sims 4" and one says "Sims 4 Packs". Folder one says "map.crc, OFB ... (random #'s, letters) x 3. Folder two says has everything as normal, all cc etc. Folder 3 says "_installer" and "sims4_moveDLC". Same with the "Sims 4 packs" one.

You have to look in Documents > Electronic Arts folder :> The Sims 4
The rest of the folders are installation folders and should not be touched.
If you don't have two The sims 4 folders in the Electronic Arts folder, only the old one with your saves and CC, it means that the game doesn't read it.
However, you are on a Mac so it's best for you when the best Mac specialists take care of your problem.- 8 months ago
why doesn't it read it? and is there a way to fix it?

Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following into the Terminal window then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null
It will take a little while to return the results. When it's done please copy/paste the results here.
