In-game Menus go blank

Hi guys, 

I’m having this issue where if I open any of the in game menus, once i click esc or any of the options, the menu goes blank like the photo.

I can click the little x, and it will appear highlighted, so the game hasn’t frozen, but it never does anything and i am unable to exit this screen without force quitting the entire game.

I use lots of mods, though the UI ones are all up to date.

Any ideas? 

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
