Mine worked two days ago until I did an update to the game this morning. Now it says "unable to start"

    I installed the January 16th 2020 and have been experiencing a couple of issues since:

    At first, my game would not start, with the error message "Unable to start: Initialixation error at start up" (see attachment).

    I repaired the game.

    The game seemed to work properly after, but then I realized that the off-the-grid lot trait had dissapeared. Also, I do not have any of the features discribed on some blogs (piles of books becoming library for instance: not in my game).

    I have the Legacy version as I play on a pre-2011 iMac with High Sierra 10.13.6.

      That's great that a repair fixed it, lots of people are experiencing the same issue since the January patch. Could you move your Sims 4 folder to the desktop and start a brand new clean game to see if the lot trait reappears?
