Is there a way to limit framerate on Macos?

Hello, I recently got a M2 Macbook Pro which runs 120hz, but I would like to limit the framerate of The Sims 4 to 60hz. I've tried to use v-sync and it just locks it to 120hz, the refresh rate in game settings can only be set to default, and can't find anything online to help. I just want to have my Mac run cooler and quieter as I play.
