I have a Macbook Air (13-inch, mid-2012), 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB graphics
I have upgraded from a previous version of macOS, quite an old version I believe I can't remember it though.
I have the Sims 4
When I go to Origin everything seems fine up until the point where i try to play the Sims 4. At first it takes awhile to load but when it does it only takes me to a black screen for like a few seconds and then the black screen disappears and all I can see is my desktop and all the things I left open before playing the Sims. It also says that I'm still using the Sims 4 but after a few seconds the game says that the "application is not responding" and so I force quit the game. And everything seems normal again.

Please could you clarify what you mean by it won't download the Origin page? Do you mean Origin won't open?- Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+
10.15 Catalina (beta)
Sims 3
32-bit Applications no longer run in Catalina. Please read this guide on installing a previous version of macOS or Windows in order to carry on playing Sims 3.
Sims 4
Currently Sims 4 will not load in the beta of Catalina as there is one 32-bit file, ActivationUI, that needs updating/removing. Do not update to Catalina at this time if you want to carry on playing.
- 6 years ago@mariacortes24 look into switching to high Sierra. if you can do it yourself but if not look into a place that specializes in Macs like Best Buy.
