Missing Mods Folder (I have tried everything!)

Hello! I have had sims 4 on my mac for awhile, and I wanted to try downloading a few mods. I tried following multiple tutorials and read a few posts on here, but I can't seem to find my mods folder. My Sims 4 folder is also independent from my EA folder. I looked in both my sims 4 folder and EA folder and can't find it. I also turned off and on my mods settings and restarted my game multiple times in attempt to respawn a mods folder. But still nothing! Please help!!!
