Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

I upgraded my MacBook and re-downloaded the EA app + Sims 4. It deleted my previous households though it's showing I played for a total of 194 hrs.

It also doesn't load on my own account. It keeps on flagging this message "sims already running"

I made a new account 'game mode on' and it runs smoothly on that account but not on my main Mac account.
