Mods not appearing in game or anywhere!
Good evening,
I've recently returned to Sims 4 after a hiatus. I have transitioned from Windows to MacOS and I am having trouble with mods implementing and showing into my game. I am using Catalina OS if that matters and have the required game specs.
I have tried everything to no avail and the solutions I have found have not been helpful. When I used Windows, I did not have any problems with the mods populating into the game so I am not sure what is going now.
I have removed the Electronic Arts folder from iCloud Drive. I have disabled and enabled both CC mods and script mods inside the game multiple different ways. Restarting and unticking, ticking and restarting. I have unzipped all mod files and added these files into the mods folder underneath the Resource file. When this didn't work, I started over incase the resource file was corrupted and allowed it to repopulate from scratch with an empty mod folder and tried again adding just one updated mod into the folder to test and see if it would populate in game and it still does not.
The only thing I haven't done is uninstall and reinstall the game nor do a game repair, although I am not sure why I would need to do this because the game is newly installed on a new computer with no previous save files.
I am open to ANY suggestions as to what will resolve this issue! Thanks so much.
So, please disregard this post. I have solved the issue doing a bit of digging.
It was a folder issue. Apparently, there are two folders on my Mac for sims. One in documents and one in downloads. I was saving all my mods in the Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Mods folder through downloads and not the correct folder through the documents pathway.
For anyone that is having a similar issue, that's the fix.
