My Game Options Don't Show Up

Playing on a Mac. Things have been wonky ever since the most recent update. My save loaded fine but I couldn't play my regular household so I made a new one. Good thing I already had mods on because this happens now:

    Can you try the following:

    1. In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
    2. Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
    3. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. If there is another file in the folder, The Sims 4.par, leave it alone.
    4. Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download.

    It does that without the mods folder, too. :/

    Could you try letting the game make a new game folder?
    - Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\
    - Rename the 'The Sims 4' folder to something like 'The Sims 4 old' 
    - Start the game, this will create a new folder.
    - Test the game, if it works fine start moving folders from 'The Sims 4 old' over to the new folder.

    It worked, but only at start-up. In-game it doesn't show up. 

    I suppose this will have to suffice. I can't see myself changing anything about the settings, though.
