My game won’t let me play after I press resume after the game loads

Hey y’all! I need some help! I’m new to sims and I currently play on a MacBook Pro and I recently had to clean out my whole mods folder due to my game not starting up. I even stated using the sims4trayimporter which helped and now my game is staring. But now when I got into the game it startes paused which is where I left it before it started to not load and when I press resume the game goes off. But it lets me build and CAS. Not sure what to do so if anyone has some advice it would be helpful, Thank you in advance!🫶🏾
