My Sims has been loading very slow since the feb 2026 update.

My loadscreen has been very slow, both going into my saves, and saving my game. This started after the last update. I’m playing on an external hard drive, and have never had this problem before. The game also freezes at the same place every time i play.
I’ve deleted all my mods and re-installed them, and it’s still happening. Anyone else struggling with the same thing? Any suggestions? Cause i can’t even save the game because it’s just loading.
Save loading and saving time is a function of how much information your save has. Do you have a lot of Sims? A lot of inventory? Both of those slow down loading and saving.
For the freezing, please see the Solution information in [patch 1.121] gameplay lockup just after midnight | EA Forums - 13158348 - This is a game issue (hopefully largely solved with a mini-patch tomorrow), but an MCCC setting can be changed to trigger it less.
Reinstalling broken mods doesn't fix them. See Broken and Updated Mods and CC.
